We operate in a sustainable manner
We take responsibility for the effects of our work and our environment. We base our activity on deep knowledge, we conduct our own scientific research.
We are a socially responsible company, respecting the natural environment and the business environment in which we live.
We believe that caring for the planet is a principal value for all of us.
Our portfolio includes ECO packaging such as FSC cartons, packaging made from renewable or recycled raw materials e.g. PCR bottles or cartons from waste paper.
Our cosmetics are designed in accordance with the assumptions of ECO design. Therefore, we continually cooperate with suppliers to implement increasingly innovative solutions that improve the ecological profile of our packaging. In 2020, 87% of our packaging was suitable for recycling or reprocessing.
We conduct research on the use of natural and biodegradable raw materials in packaging. We create cosmetics that meet the needs of consumers – for example, we introduce to the market products based on natural ingredients, the packaging of which is made, among others, from renewable raw materials. We reduce the grammage and size of cartons to decrease paper consumption.
Our scientists create formulas for new cosmetics in a responsible manner
By maximizing the share of bio-technological ingredients (not causing excessive exploitation of natural resources) of natural origin (certified, from responsible sources) and vegan ones. All our cosmetics are certified “Cruelty Free” because they have never been and are not tested on animals.
We produce cosmetics using electricity from 100% renewable sources (green energy)
To control and gradually reduce energy consumption, we have developed and are monitoring the company’s energy balance and, among other things, have replaced the external lighting of buildings and parking lots with energy-efficient solutions.
We have also reduced energy consumption for the production and maintenance of compressed air installations. This year, we plan to optimize the operation of air handling units, measure key electricity receivers, and optimize the operation of key energy-consuming receivers in the company.
For our activities for the environment, we won the title of sustainable brand in the Fashion Magazine Beauty Awards competition and were recognized as the most socially responsible company operating in a sustainable manner.
This motivates us to continue working for responsible development throughout the Dr Irena Eris Group.
On the occasion of the United Nations Day, we were recognized by the UN Global Compact Network Poland (the Polish office of the United Nations Secretary General’s Initiative) as a member of the “Equal Opportunities in Business – Target Gender Equality” initiative for setting ambitious corporate goals promoting women’s leadership and gender equality in business.
We joined the Global Compact initiative in 2016. The project was established by the then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, and its task is to promote principles in the areas of, among others, human rights, labor, the environment and counteracting corruption. Since 2016, we have reported annually on our activities aimed at improving the integration of the Global Compact principles into our business strategy, culture and daily activities.
