Sensual body skin care

Sensual body skin care

Every day our skin is exposed to external factors that can accelerate the aging process and weaken skin’s condition. Fruits are a powerful ally in the fight against oxidative stress.

Rich in valuable vitamins, minerals and natural antioxidants, fruits constitute an extremely important element of skin care. Based on their beneficial composition, experts from the Dr Irena Eris Center for Science and Research have developed unique body care cosmetics – the PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT Dr Irena Eris PROSYSTEM HOME CARE Body Fiesta line with a captivating scent and the PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT refreshing and vitalizing body treatment.

What is oxidative stress?

Oxidative stress is a situation in which our body contains too many free radicals, i.e. reactive oxygen molecules. Free radicals are created as a result of metabolic processes and of external factors such as poor diet, excessive stress, UV radiation or air pollution. Oxidative stress leads to cell damage, and consequently to faster skin aging, loss of firmness and to appearance of wrinkles. However, free radicals can be neutralized by providing the skin with antioxidants. They help delay the aging process, giving our skin a healthy and youthful appearance.

Oxidative stress affects not only our facial skin, so it’s worth considering it when taking care of your body, providing the skin with antioxidants and other nutrients. These ingredients support skin regeneration and protect it from new cellular damage. A valuable source of antioxidants is pitaya, a fruit from South America, also known as dragon fruit. Its fruit is a rich source of vitamins (C, E, B3, B5, K1) and minerals (calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc). The pulp of pitaya contains betacyanins, unique antioxidants that help regulate metabolism. They affect, among other things, the amount of subcutaneous adipose tissue. Thanks to its high content of cinnamic acid, pitaya has a multifaceted effect on the skin – it protects it from UV radiation, prevents discoloration and slows down the aging process.

Pitaya also delivers valuable saccharide substances, such as inositol and mannose. Inositol plays a key role in cell renewal, supports metabolic processes and protects the skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation. Additionally, it stabilizes fatty acids in cell membranes, supporting the integrity of the skin. Mannose, on the other hand, is responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of moisture in the epidermis and accelerates regenerative processes, supporting skin reconstruction.

Regeneration and protection

Grapefruit is a so-called natural hybrid – a genetic cross of other plants that arose spontaneously, without human intervention – the Chinese orange grown in Jamaica and the Indonesian pomelo. This is particularly interesting, considering that the grapefruit, a product of chance, is one of the citrus fruits with the most impressive health-promoting properties. A team of Mexican scientists has shown that substances contained in the peel, pulp and seeds of grapefruit have strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and glycemia-regulating effects. Grapefruit extract also lowers lipid levels and maintains good skin condition, providing protection to cellular DNA.

An Italian-Spanish team of researchers has proven that oral supplementation with a preparation containing grapefruit extract resulted in increased skin resistance to the negative effects of UV radiation. After 2 months of supplementation, the average depth of wrinkles in the subjects decreased by almost 15%. In vitro studies have shown the ability of the extract to eliminate the negative impact of UVB on keratinocytes – cells responsible for production of keratin in the skin, death of which causes keratinization and exfoliation in the stratum corneum of the epidermis. Scientists have also observed a reduction in lipid peroxidation and an increase in survival of cells exposed to radiation. Similar conclusions were reached by scientists from China who showed that grapefruit oil increases keratinocyte proliferation. It can also accelerate skin regeneration, thickens the epidermis and supports the integrity of the epidermal barrier.

The refreshing and vitalizing PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT body treatment combines a relaxing body massage and the wonderful scent of exotic fruits and flowers with highly concentrated nutrients from pitaya and grapefruit. This is a health and beauty ritual designed for skin that requires improved smoothness, hydration and stimulation. Massage with care - Refreshing and vitalizing body treatment

The luxurious PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT body treatment is based on a sensual combination of vitalizing pitaya fruit extract and refreshing grapefruit hydrolate contained in Dr Irena Eris PROSYSTEM PROFFESSIONAL cosmetics, providing the skin with not only nourishing vitamin C, but also a carefully composed complex of deeply regenerating micro and macro elements. The treatment is recommended regardless of age.

The refreshing and vitalizing PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT body treatment begins with a welcome ritual and careful cleansing of the skin, preparing it for exfoliation. The refreshing mousse scrub, which is rich in vitamins A and C, mineral salts and flavonoids, as well as the AHA complex with 62% concentrate of aqueous fruit juices of blackberries, cane sugar, orange, lemon and maple sugar, gently exfoliates the epidermis, supporting its regeneration. It also improves penetration of active substances into deep layers of the skin. The peeling particles contained in the mousse stimulate tissue microcirculation and improve skin smoothness. The next phase of the treatment is the skin vitalization stage, during which the body is treated with a body serum, rich in the AHA complex, antioxidants, bioflavonoids and hyaluronic acid, as well as macadamia nut oil that elasticizes and moisturizes the skin. The treatment is completed by a relaxing foot massage and a cosmetic or classic body massage. The treatment ends with a farewell ritual.

Studies at the Dr Irena Eris Centre for Science and Research have shown that as many as 100% of the subjects who tested the treatment confirmed immediate effects – deep nourishment and hydration of the skin as well as visible smoothing of the body.

The offer of the Dr Irena Eris Cosmetic Institutes also includes a dedicated PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT refreshing and smoothing treatment for feet. A massage with peeling refreshes, stimulates and extremely smooths the skin, while the nourishing serum and paraffin compress make it soft and velvety smooth. This is an excellent treatment for those who struggle with dry and chapped skin on feet. The expert massage and refreshing citrus aroma also provide a deep feeling of relaxation.

The first step to smooth skin

In order to extend the effects of professional body treatments, cosmetologists recommend using cosmetics for daily, home care, thanks to which we provide the skin with essential nutrients, protect it from environmental factors and maintain its good condition.

Effective home care of the skin begins with peeling. The PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT Refreshing & Smoothing Body Scrub, a creamy scrub with a tempting, fruity scent, effectively exfoliates dead cells and helps remove impurities from the skin surface. Natural peeling particles contained in its mass stimulate tissue microcirculation. Its fragrant, fine-grained formula gently smooths the body, improves oxygenation and stimulates skin renewal. A special combination of pitaya fruit extract and juicy grapefruit hydrolate provides the skin with a real cocktail of natural energy. Thanks to the optimal dose of vitamin C as well as other vitamins and minerals, the Refreshing & Smoothing Body Scrub protects the skin from oxidative stress and photoaging. It instantly firms and smooths the body, whereas the beneficial active substances contained in pitaya and grapefruit protect the skin from oxidative stress and the harmful effects of UV radiation. The peeling has a refreshing effect, optimally moisturizing the skin and restoring its softness. Its unique consistency ensures a pleasure of use, and the formula is easy to wash off.

Body balm - hydration and regeneration

The second stage of body care is proper hydration. The PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT Vitalizing & Moisturizing Body Balm contains grapefruit oil and pitaya hydrolate. Microcapsules suspended in the balm mass contain moisturizing substances that prevent water loss.

During the massage, they dissolve and penetrate deep into the skin. The balm formula improves the level of cellular energy and stimulates the skin to regenerate. Fruit extracts protect the skin against photoaging and transepidermal water loss, ensuring its deep hydration. The consistency of the balm is extremely light – the Vitalizing & Moisturizing Body Balm absorbs quickly, and its silky formula with a sensual scent is a wonderful culmination of daily body care.

The PITAYA & GRAPEFRUIT line is more than skin care. It is also a feast for the senses and home aromatherapy, combining extraordinary sensory experiences with effectiveness of active ingredients of natural origin and innovative formulas developed by scientists from the Dr Irena Eris Centre for Science and Research. Using the Refreshing & Smoothing Body Scrub and the Vitalizing & Moisturizing Body Balm together allows you to create a home care ritual based on the joint action of active ingredients and the synergy of formulas for maximum effects.
