Secrets of effective skin cleansing

Secrets of effective skin cleansing

Daily facial skincare begins with thorough cleansing. This is the essential step of an effective skincare routine.

With this in mind, we created the Dr Irena Eris PROSYSTEM HOME CARE CLEAN COLLECTION line – your professional skin cleansing ritual.

Discover the CLEAN COLLECTION line

Why is skin cleansing so important?

Every day, our skin comes into contact with harmful environmental factors – dust, microscopic smog particles, UV filter residue, and makeup residue accumulate on its surface. At night, the skin produces sweat and sebum, which promote bacterial growth and clog pores.

Clean skin creates an environment that is less conducive to the growth of bacteria responsible for acne and inflammation. It also becomes more receptive – it more easily absorbs the active ingredients contained in cosmetics used in the morning and evening, enhancing their effectiveness. Regular cleansing supports natural regenerative processes, removes dead skin cells, and helps neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals, thus slowing down the skin’s aging process and improving its overall condition.

Proper cleansing should be a ritual performed twice a day – morning and evening. Each routine has a different purpose, but together they are key to maintaining healthy, beautiful skin.

Proprietary Complexes in the CLEAN COLLECTION Line

The CLEAN COLLECTION line was created based on the achievements of scientists from the Dr Irena Eris Centre for Science and Research. Their work led to the development of the series’ leading ingredient, the proprietary Hydro-Booster complex with a unique water-binding system, providing the skin with a powerful dose of hydration that lasts up to 72 hours. By sealing the skin’s natural protective barrier and reducing moisture loss, the complex smooths the skin and improves its firmness.

The complex contains prebiotic polysaccharides, advanced complexes of tetramorphic hyaluronic acid, as well as potassium and unique molecules with osmotic properties, maintaining skin’s cellular balance in response to environmental stressors.

This complex not only hydrates the skin but also beneficially affects its regenerative capacity. Studies on its active ingredients have shown a significant effect on inhibiting the expression of receptors responsible for cell damage caused by pollution, as well as on reducing damage caused by UV radiation.

The action of the Hydro-Booster complex is further enhanced by valuable plant extracts. Imperata cylindrica extract supports cellular osmotic balance. Fig opuntia flower hydrolate is rich in vitamins C, A, and E, as well as peptides and polysaccharides that stimulate skin regeneration. Mexican hyssop extract has relaxing and calming properties, reducing the negative effects of neurological stress, soothing redness, and reducing the appearance of dilated blood vessels.

The velvety texture and unique fragrance of the CLEAN COLLETCION line will turn facial cleansing into a true ritual. The dominant fragrance notes – the fresh scent of flowers and forest berries, sweet vanilla, caramel, and cotton candy, as well as sensual musk – will allow you to unwind and feel like you’re in a real spa.

Morning skincare routine – your ritual to start your day

Morning cleansing delivers three important benefits. The first and most important is the removal of sweat and sebum residue from the face, preventing the growth of bacteria responsible for imperfections and inflammation. The second benefit of morning cleansing is the regulation and normalization of sebum secretion during daily activities. A gentle cleansing routine that does not disrupt the skin’s hydrolipid barrier makes the skin less prone to dryness and oiliness, which in turn improves the appearance and extends the lasting power of makeup. The third, but definitely not the last, benefit is the support it provides for skincare. Open pores and clean skin better absorb the active ingredients in cosmetics, allowing them to work faster and more effectively.

So, what should a morning cleansing routine look like? Discover our beauticians’ recommendations for an effective morning skincare ritual with cosmetics from the CLEAN COLLECTION Dr Irena Eris PROSYSTEM HOME CARE line.

  • 1

    Morning Cleansing

Apply a small amount of the Delicate Cleansing Foam for Face and Eye Area to wet hands and massage into the skin using circular motions. This will remove excess sebum and restore freshness to the complexion. Rinse the foam thoroughly with lukewarm water; too hot water can further irritate and dry the skin, and, in the case of couperose skin, increase visible redness.

  • 2

Toner – an introduction to skincare

After cleansing, gently pat your face dry with a cotton or paper towel. Dispense a small amount of the Revitalizing Toner-Essence for Face onto clean hands or a cotton pad, then gently pat into the skin with your fingertips. The toner restores the skin’s natural pH and prepares it for further care. Complete your morning skincare routine by applying your chosen serum, a light eye cream, a face cream, and a sunscreen – this will leave your skin fully prepared to welcome a new day!

Evening Skincare Routine – Makeup Removal, Cleansing, and Regeneration

Evening cleansing is a key aspect of daily skincare. After a long day, our skin requires thorough removal of makeup and impurities. It’s also time for you – an opportunity to unwind and enjoy a calming and relaxing skincare ritual.

  • 1

Eye Makeup Removal – Gentleness First

Begin your makeup removal with the eye area, using the Regenerating Two-Phase Eye Makeup Remover. Soak a cotton pad with the product and place it on your closed eyelid for 5–10 seconds. Allow the product to dissolve your makeup, then gently wipe, working towards the outer corner of your eye. For heavy, evening eye makeup, repeat the first step, looking up and placing the soaked cotton pad on your closed eye from the lower lid side, allowing the product to dissolve any remaining makeup on your waterline and between the lashes. Avoid rubbing the eyes with the cotton pad to prevent irritation and weakening of the lashes.

  • 2

Facial Makeup Removal – The Oil Stage

Effective facial makeup removal should be based on two types of products: a lipophilic, fat-dissolving formula that breaks down impurities composed of fatty compounds, such as makeup and sebum accumulating on the face, and a hydrophilic, water-soluble gel or foam, which allows for complete cleansing of the skin. Therefore, begin facial makeup removal by applying Oleo-Balm for Cleansing and Makeup Removal for Face and Eyes to dry skin.

Massage your face in gentle, circular motions for several dozen seconds until the balm dissolves makeup and impurities. Then add a small amount of water – the balm will transform into a light, foamy emulsion that can be easily rinsed off. The Oleo-Balm formula not only cleanses but also regenerates and strengthens the skin’s hydrolipid barrier, preventing moisture loss.

  • 3

Facial Makeup Removal – The Hydrophilic Stage

The hydrophilic stage allows you to remove any remaining makeup and oils from your skin. Use the Concentrated Cleansing and Makeup Removal Gel for Face and Eyes. Spread a small amount of the product on wet hands and massage the skin for about 30 seconds. The gel effectively removes any remaining makeup without drying it out.

Rinse your face with lukewarm water and gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel.

  • 4

    Toner – Balance and Soothing

Toning should be the last step of your facial cleansing and the first step of your skincare routine – both morning and evening. To restore the skin’s proper pH, seal its natural protective barrier, and reduce moisture loss, use the Revitalizing Toner-Essence for Face. As in the morning, apply a small amount of the product to clean hands and gently pat the liquid into the skin – do not rinse.

Continue your evening routine with your favorite Dr Irena Eris PROSYSTEM HOME CARE cosmetics – night cream, eye cream, and mask.
